My fluffy shadow who loves his treats!

Our dog Blackjack is about to turn four. He is the sweetest boy and follows us around all the time. We often say, if you look him in the eyes, he will be in your lap!”

Blackjack’s favorite treat is homemade dog treats. We love to whip them up on the weekend and give him something delicious to munch on all week. Especially before his birthday! 🎂The recipe is so easy and tasty that I had to share.

Blackjack's Homemade Dog Treats
INGREDIENTS:
½ can of pumpkin puree
1 Tbs natural honey
1/4 cup peanut butter
2 large eggs
3 cups flour

DIRECTIONS:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Use an electric mixer and beat the pumpkin puree, peanut butter, and eggs until well blended. Gradually fold in 2 1/2 cups flour at low speed, beating just until mixed. Add an additional ½ cup flour at a time, if you need to, just until the dough is no longer sticky.
Lightly flour a kitchen surface so you can knead the dough. Roll the dough flat with a rolling pin to 1/4-inch thickness, and you're ready to go. Cut the dough with a knife into ½ inch squares and place on baking sheet.
Bake until the edges are golden brown, about 20-25 minutes. Do not undercook the treats.
Cool and let your dog enjoy!
