Ringing in a cozy Christmas season

One thing we love to do in my house is to get ready for the holidays. I know it is early but it is so easy to adore the warm light that the Christmas tree gives off at night with the fireplace burning - the perfect night! This year, our tree is skinny but is dripping with all of our lifelong ornaments. After living in Virginia for so many years, it's fun to mix the wintery feel of a snowy Christmas with the beauty of the beach. Just add something warm and savory in the slow cooker, and what could be better? 

It is such a treat every year to pull the ornaments out of the box and reminisce about where each one originated. What memories! We have a big family, and with each new year, our ornament boxes seem to get bigger and bigger. 

Rest assured that I have not put up outdoor lights or filled our home with all of our Santas just yet. That will all come later...or maybe tomorrow!
